How Brazil Scope uses AI and automation.

Automation helps the newsroom process a large information flow. It does not replace sourcing rules, factual thresholds or the requirement to add useful context for readers.

1. Discovery is not publication

Automated systems scan public information and registered sources to identify developments that may matter to international readers. A discovered item is only a candidate. It can be ignored, deferred, merged with an existing event or sent for verification.

2. Verification comes before drafting

For candidates that advance, a separate verification step checks the live web and builds a fact package. The process is instructed to prefer primary or official material when available and to preserve legal distinctions such as allegation, investigation, arrest, charge, trial, conviction, acquittal, appeal and final judgment. Higher-risk claims require stricter confidence and sourcing.

3. The writer is constrained to verified material

The drafting model receives the verified fact package rather than an unrestricted prompt. It is instructed not to invent quotations, numbers, dates, motives or allegations and not to browse independently during drafting. Its job is to synthesize verified facts for readers outside Brazil and add context that is supported by those facts.

4. Added value is a publication requirement

Brazil Scope is not designed to mass-produce rewrites. Current stories are expected to explain the mechanism behind a development, relevant baselines or comparisons, who is affected, international consequences, market transmission channels or documented next steps when the evidence supports them. A quality gate measures article depth, retained sourcing, structure and factual-confidence metadata. Drafts below the automatic-publication threshold are routed to review instead of being padded with generic text.

5. Existing pages are re-audited

Published pages are periodically re-audited. A legacy article that falls below the current minimum remains accessible, but it can be removed from search sitemaps and advertising until it is enriched. This lets the public record remain available without presenting thin pages as the strongest representation of the publication.

6. Market Intelligence uses the same evidence rules

Economic, market and internationally significant stories can receive higher editorial priority, but that priority does not lower the factual-confidence standard. Brazil Scope does not publish investment recommendations or price predictions as part of this automated workflow.

7. Sources remain visible

Articles retain links to the source material stored for the story when available. Readers can also review our Source Policy, Reporting Methodology, Editorial Policy and Corrections & updates.

8. Corrections are separate from ordinary updates

Automation can assist production, but it does not make an error acceptable. Material factual corrections are logged under the corrections workflow. Ordinary improvements or clarifications can be recorded separately from corrections.
