What we correct
We correct inaccurate names, dates, figures, descriptions, quotations, source attributions and other factual statements that could materially affect a reader's understanding.
How corrections appear
Minor typographical changes may be made without a notice. Significant factual corrections are reflected in the article and can also appear in the public article update log.
Developing stories
An update based on newly available information is not necessarily a correction. When a story changes because events develop, the article may be updated to reflect the new facts.
